It compares a reference face to a probe face using Procrustes geometric alignment, then returns a match verdict with similarity and distance metrics. It is verification only. There is no identification against a database.

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Supabase-managed infrastructure, with row-level security and account-scoped storage. Compute runs in-process on the server.
